Panic Disorder
Panic disorder causes sudden, extreme feelings of intense fear. Typically, these panic attacks can last from a few minutes to hours on the extreme end. Sufferers report that they may feel like they’re having a heart attack or may feel as if something horrible will happen to them.
Symptoms of Panic or Anxiety Disorder
Sufferers will experience 4 or more of the following symptoms with 10 minutes. It is common to have constant fear of having another panic attack:
- Heart palpitations or chest pain
- Feel as if your going to pass out or faint or feel dizzy
- Stomach ache or pain or nausea and vomiting
- Tightness in throat neck area, sometimes feel like choking
- Afraid you may die or are dying
- Feel as if you’re outside of your body
- Rapid, shallow, and shortness of breath
- Muscle rigidity and shaking
- Sweating at inappropriate times (not exercising) or hot flashes
- Tingling or numbness especially in extremities
